Crystal is the only dog I've ever had. I had her since I was 4. She is 11 years old now and my best friend. She stares at me lovingly and loves to go for walks. She also loves to roll in the snow and enjoys it.

She is a pitbull mix, but anything but mean. When I was in first grade, she got lost overnight and we were devastated. Not thinking she would home, we went to school like any other day. To my surprise, my brother was called down to the office and there was Crystal! She had found her way to our school, knowing our scent. She must really love us, like we love her.

She now has some trouble jumping on the bed, and hesitates before leaping. Sometimes my brother gives her a lift. She loves her beggin strips, but we're watching her weight and giving her baby carrots with peanut butter as a snack, and she likes them.

She is the best dog ever and I am grateful to have her, and look forward to many more years of fun.
